In some cases, you might be required to Telnet from your location. If your computer is using windows operation system, this is how you do it.

Please go to 'start' - 'All Programs' - 'Accessories' - 'Command Prompt' (or 'start' - 'Run' - type in 'cmd')

In 'Command Prompt' window, type in

telnet YourDomainName port no.

i.e telnet mydomain.com 110

If you are getting a reply as OK or response from server service, it means network connection is good.
